Max
Adult | Male | Adopted
Our darling Max is a 7-year-old, 38-pound, black and tan, tall spaniel mix with an award-winning personality, leash skills, and car manners. Exuberant, playful, adorable, and loving are all appropriate words to describe him. Max was surrendered to OBG because his person moved into assisted living.
Max is good with dogs and with kids over the age of 8. We don’t know about cats, but Max does love to play, so he may have too much energy for kitties. Max is house- and crate-trained. He has lots of energy, so he would love a yard and someone to play with him.
What isn't to love about Max? Well, unfortunately, Max has a heart condition called pulmonary stenosis. He has a narrowing of the valve which lets the blood flow from his right ventricle to his lungs. Currently, this isn't causing Max any problems, and he is not on any medication. He can run and play as much as he likes. However, we do not know what the future holds for Max. He will need to be followed by cardiology. His next visit will be in July 2019. Please read about pulmonary stenosis before inquiring on Max.
