Woody

PUPPY ALERT!!!  Please meet Woody, a ~3.5 month old cocker spaniel.  Woody is a catch!  He is doing very well with the dogs and cats in his foster home.  He knows "sit", and he comes when called.  He enjoys being cradled like a baby.  He sleeps all night in his crate.  Like most puppies, he is working on his house-training.

We only adopt puppies within 2 hours of the Washington DC area.

Before applying for a puppy, please carefully consider the following issues.  Will someone be home every 4 hours to let the puppy outside?  Our general rule of thumb is that if a dog needs to be crated more than 6 hours/day total, then that dog is the wrong one for the person's lifestyle.  Please consider Puppy Kindergarten classes.  More dogs under the age of 3 years are euthanized for behavior issues than for illnesses.  Puppies are expensive.  It can easily cost over $1500 to get the puppy all of its vet care (shots, spay/neuter, heartworm/flea tick preventatives), food, and other supplies.
